The only parallel of such a hit pair team in the history of our films was that of Raj Kapoor-Nargis which constantly gave a number of hits over a number of years. Like Dharam, Raj was a Punjabi , much married with kids and an accepted flirt. And Nargis, like Hema knowing that this association would lead her nowhere , preferred to stick on to him till their inevitable bitter parting. What's more, his in the most Un- shakeable position in the Bombay today. Film-making is undoubtedly a gamble . But making a Dharmendra starrers, let me told you, is considerably a lesser gamble. And if ever the present situation suffers the set back it will only be because of Dharmendra himself.
